AJ Eklipta wall lamp from Louis Poulsen was designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1956 for Rødovre Town Hall. Two sizes of the opal glass wall sconce were produced for this project: 13.7" and 17.7". They were used indoors on stairs and as outdoor wall lamps. A 8.7" version was later designed for St. Catherines College in England. Arne Jacobsen preferred the largest model when specifying his own projects. Today, AJ Eklipta is used worldwide and in a variety of architectural contexts

Regular Dusting
Wipe off dust using a dry, soft cloth to maintain the lamp's finish.
Gentle Cleaning
For greasy spots, use a soft cloth dampened with lukewarm water (below 122°F/50°C) and a mild detergent. Avoid scouring powders or similar substances, as they can scratch surfaces.
Clean Glass When Cold
Ensure the mouth-blown glass diffuser is cleaned only when cold. After cleaning, allow all moisture to evaporate before turning the lamp back on.
Avoid Half Mirror Bulbs
Do not use half mirror light bulbs, as they can reflect heat and potentially damage or melt parts of the fixture.
Check for Moisture
After cleaning, ensure no moisture remains on the fixture to prevent potential electrical issues.
Inspect Mounting Surface
Periodically check that the wall or ceiling can support the luminaire's weight. Reinforce the structure if necessary.
Professional Installation
Consult a qualified electrician to ensure correct branch circuit conductor and adherence to local codes and jurisdiction.
