The Boilermaker is effective as a winter pond de-icer. As with all Scott Aerator Company products, it reduces the need for expensive and time-consuming winterization methods.

In order to maintain your aerator or fountain, leave it in the water and turn off the power supply during the winter. When the water thaws in the spring, simply re-establish power to the unit and it will continue to function without damage, even in sub-zero conditions.
The Boilermaker is manufactured utilizing a stainless steel, oil-free, submersible motor, making it the most environmentally friendly water aerator on the market. There's no oil to change, no maintenance required, and no control box needed.

The Boilermaker comes standard with 100 feet of heavy-duty, 12-gauge, submersible power cord. Greater lengths are available. 
GFCI required. Please disconnect the power source when swimmers are present.
